Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled...Peppermints? {Guest Post}
My poor, poor neglected blog. I have been so busy with work and life, but I have some yummy recipes and cool knitted projects I'm hoping to post over Christmas break. (stay tuned) In the meantime, I have asked the super cool HannahBeth from All Things Lovely to write a guest post for my blog, She is awesome, and my sister (which makes her even more awesome) and actually updates her blog regularly so you should totally check her out! Did I mention she also makes homemade beeswax products? Thanks for the wonderful post, Hannah!
That one
This is a DIY post, so we won't get medically technical
here. Just thought you might want to know. :)
Enjoy!

Alliteration is fun. Just ask my host for today, Sarah! (She
is the master. ;) ) I was flattered that she requested I write a guest post for
her blog, and excited when I found out what she wanted me to write on!
Now that the holidays are in full swing, the heady rush of
Christmas has been taunting me. There are so many amazing seasonal ingredients
and foods. But there IS one that stands out among the rest...
You could even say
There is
One
to rule them all. *Dramatic music*
Go ahead. Shake your head at my cheesy, well-timed pun. We
all know you must not like puppies and kittens and happiness.
Anyway-
is
Peppermint!
A few facts:
First used medicinally, peppermint was and still is used for
a variety of minor ills, including nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain,
indigestion, irritable bowel, and bloating.
Peppermint extract and essential oils are used to flavor ice
cream, toothpaste, candy canes, and myriads of other items.
I've put together a list of the many peppermint-themed,
flavored, and related Do-it-Yourself items. Just click on the links under the
pictures!
